Description

Helps decrease inflammation by mediating a hyperactive immune response.

Scutellaria baicalensis, (a.k.a. baikal skullcap or huang qin in Chinese herbal medicine) takes the lead in this anti-inflammatory formula whose aim is to restore regulation to an immune system that has become dysfunctional due to chronic infection or toxicity.  

Fire-toxins can cause symptoms such as skin eruptions, fever and burning sensations, auto-immune illness, sweating, and pain.  This type of runaway inflammation also drains the body of resources and leads to fatigue, dryness, and aging.  The herbs in this formula are used in traditional herbal medicine to “clear fire” and help the body both neutralize the toxins that drive inflammation, and cool down the inflammation itself.  

 This formula is available as a tincture, brew, or granules.  *Please note that there are minor differences in the formulations based on herb availability.

What’s the difference between a tincture, brew and granule?

Tincture Ingredients & Dosage:

Baikal skullcap, sophora, red sage, shepherd’s purse, Japanese knotweed, Szechuan lovage, curcuma, anemarrhena, houttuynia, licorice, ginger; organic cane alcohol and distilled water.
Recommended Dosage:  1/2 – 1 teaspoon / 2x / day in 2 oz. water.

Brew Ingredients & Dosage:
Baikal skullcap, sophora, red sage, shepherd’s purse, Japanese knotweed, Szechuan lovage, curcuma, anemarrhena, houttuynia, licorice, ginger
Recommended Dosage:  1 cup / 2x / day

Granules Ingredients & Dosage:
Baikal skullcap, sophora, red sage, wormwood (Artemisia annua), Japanese knotweed, Szechuan lovage, curcuma, anemarrhena, licorice, Turkey rhubarb, ginger
Recommended Dosage:  1 heaping teaspoon (4 grams) / 2x / day stirred into water, juice or soft food.
