Our Herbal Formulas are offered in 3 forms because we know that different people have different needs regarding what the best form of herbal medicine is for them.

Tinctures are organic cane alcohol and water-based extractions of the herbal formula.  Tinctures are a traditional extraction method that are easy to take either directly or mixed into a couple ounces of juice or water. 

Brews are bags of dried roots, barks and other herbs that must be cooked by simmering in a pot on the stove for 90 minutes.  Cooking instructions are included with purchase.  After cooking and straining, the top adult recommended dosage is 1 cup / 2x / day.  Brews are the most potent way to take herbs because they are easily absorbed into the bloodstream in this manner.  While the taste is generally quite bitter and acrid, tasting these flavors is in part what triggers the brain and body to respond to the medicinal tea.  

However, for some people the taste is too strong or the labor of cooking the herbs is too much for the very weak or very busy.  Adding honey, stevia, mint or any flavoring you like is fine, but the taste is too strong for most children.  If you are new to brews, order just 1 or 2 to start and make sure this method will work for you.  

Granules are water-based extracts (alcohol-free) that have been ground into a powder.  This method eliminates the need for cooking the herbs; instead, you simply stir a teaspoon into a liquid of soft food 2x / day. 

A liposome is a round liquid-filled bubble that has at least 1 fatty double-layer membrane. 

It can be used to deliver herbal, nutrients, or other medicine into the body. Because the liposome is composed similarly to cell membranes, the body’s cells perceive liposomes as “friendly,” which makes for easier absorption into the bloodstream and into the cells where toxins and infection wreak havoc. 

Essential oils are among the most potent antimicrobials and neutralizers of toxicity and inflammation available in the natural world.

An essential oil liposomal remedy is a safe, well-tolerated way to receive the medicinal benefits of organic essential oils and to target inflammation, infection, and toxicity in hard-to-reach places such as the collagen, blood cells, joints, central nervous system, and inside biofilms.

Liposomal essential oil remedies are perhaps the most effective natural way to reduce the load of bacteria, parasites, viruses, mycotoxin, and fungi that plague the chronically ill body.

Yes, you can take 2 or more remedies at the same time. You can use the standard dosage of 1 tsp of each liposomal formula / 2x / day and work up from there. However, depending on your symptom picture you may find you don’t need to reach the maximum dose of 2 TBS of each liposomal formula / 2x / day.

They can be taken together or at different times of day.

Yes. Our botanical formulas are commonly used alongside prescription medications and can often help support more comprehensive results. We recommend taking all herbal products at least 30 minutes before or after any medications to avoid interference with absorption. If you have specific concerns or are on complex prescriptions, we encourage you to consult with a knowledgable healthcare provider for personalized guidance.

Many people are understandably cautious about ingesting essential oils, and that concern is valid.

We only recommend internal use when essential oils are delivered in a liposomal (nano-emulsion) form. This delivery method protects the mucous membranes of the digestive tract and improves targeted absorption into tissues and cells.

At the maximum dose, the concentration of each essential oil is extremely low (typically around 0.0125% per oil), which we have found to be both effective and well tolerated through extensive clinical use.

We do not recommend ingesting essential oils directly in water or in undiluted forms.

Many people do not take a binder with this product because it is also anti-inflammatory and antioxidant rich, so well tolerated. However if your detox pathways are stuck and you tend to have big Herx responses to antimicrobials then yes, you may find a binder such as activated charcoal to be helpful.

For any of our herbal product the child dosing is based on weight relative to the standard adult dose:

Up to 40 lbs: 25% of adult dose

40–70 lbs: 50% of adult dose

70–100 lbs: 75% of adult dose   

Over 100 lbs: full adult dose  

These remedies have been used clinically since 2018. They were developed out of a desire to have access to a stronger natural antimicrobial option than herbal teas and tinctures alone, particularly to support patients in avoiding or weaning off pharmaceutical antibiotics when appropriate.

Over the years, hundreds of patients and customers—as well as other practitioners and their patients—have used these remedies. We also use them personally and have extensive firsthand experience with their benefits and limitations.

A general rule of thumb is to continue taking the remedy until you feel symptom-free, then continue through one full seasonal change (usually about three months). This helps ensure treatment continues through times when microbes may come out of dormancy or complete life cycles. Toward the end of that period, you can taper down to half dose for the final few weeks and then discontinue.

Liposomal remedies are guaranteed for quality for 30 days from the date of production, which is the timeframe we consider most reliable for use. That said, their actual shelf life can vary. Some remedies may begin to degrade shortly after 30 days, while others can remain stable for several months if they’re handled and stored properly.

The biggest factor affecting how long your remedy lasts is temperature. Heat—especially over multiple days—can accelerate degradation, while consistent refrigeration significantly extends stability. That’s why we ship all remedies cold with ice packs and recommend refrigerating them as soon as they arrive.

In general:

• You can expect about 30 days of optimal quality
• With excellent refrigeration and minimal heat exposure, it may last longer
• If exposed to heat or left unrefrigerated, it may degrade much sooner

We also recommend checking for signs of degradation before use. If you notice a sour or “off” smell or taste, a thick or stringy texture, or separation of the liquid and fat layers, the remedy should not be used.
