Elecampane

Description

Elecampane (Inula helenium) is a companion medicine for the lungs.  It helps to expectorate stuck, thick phlegm by moistening, soothing and loosening mucus.  

Elecampane contains inulin, which is a prebiotic that supports the growth of healthy gut bacteria.  It also promotes healthy gastric secretions. 

Elecampane has demonstrated potent antimicrobial activity, especially against Staph aureus and candida.

Locally Grown

This tincture was made from herb that was wild-harvested with care from our clinic garden, then tinctured fresh at the height of harvest season.  Supplies are limited.

Ingredients:

Inula helenium, and certified organic cane alcohol.

Recommended Dose: 

1-3 ml / 2x / day in 2 oz water, or more as needed for acute conditions.

Synergistic Combinations Include:
– For support in recovery from cold and flu, add Echinacea tincture.
