This product comes in granules (freeze-dried powdered herbal extract), OR bags of dried herbs for decoction (brew). Directions for administering the herbs are included in your order.
BREW
Traditionally called decoctions, brew formulas come in loose raw herb form. Each bag of dried herbs makes approximately 8 cups of strong medicinal tea when following our decoction making instructions.
How to make a decoction: Using a stainless steel or glass pot, combine one bag of herbs and 9 cups cold water. Soak the herbs for 30 minutes. Bring herbs to a boil on high, then lower heat and simmer covered for 90 minutes. Strain the liquid into a large container, and store in a glass container in the refrigerator. Drink warm or cool. Each bag lasts 2-3 days depending on dose.
Prevention: 1 cup / 1x / day
Standard Treatment Dose: 1 cup / 2x / day
In cases of acute or severe illness: 1 cup / 3-4 x / day is most effective
GRANULES
Granules are powdered freeze-dried herbal extracts. There is no cooking involved, simply stir a teaspoon into the liquid of your choice (water, juice or tea). 100 grams lasts 6-9 days depending on dose.
Prevention: 1 teaspoon (approximately 4 grams) / 2x / day
Mild to moderate symptoms (standard dose): 1 tsp / 2x / day
Acute or severe symptoms: 1 tsp / 3-4x / day
Brew Recommended Dosage: 1 cup / 2x / day
Tincture Recommended Dosage: 1 teaspoon / 2x / day in 2 oz. water.
Granule Recommended Dosage: 1 heaping teaspoon (4 grams) / 2x / day stirred into water, juice or soft food.
