Andrographis

Description

Andrographis (or chuan xin lian in Chinese medicine) has been dubbed “Indian echinacea” for its benefits as a cold and flu remedy from the Ayurvedic and Chinese Medicine herbal traditions.  It has been shown to have broad-spectrum antiviral effects with its ability to diminish viral replication while supporting immune system function.

It is very bitter tasting and “cold” energetically which makes it a powerful fever reducer and antimicrobial plant medicine.  It is a top herb for swollen lymph glands, sore throat, and a “strep throat” or viral  presentation.

It is effective against a wide range of bacteria and parasites, including MRSA, E. Coli, Pseudomonas and Staphylococcus species.

It is a well-regarded herb for the treatment of Lyme-Borreliosis, and supports the clearance of endo-toxins due to die-off, which helps to manage uncomfortable Herx reactions.

Andrographis can support treatment of a wide array of inflammatory conditions, including ulcerative colitis, urinary tract and upper respiratory tract infections, herpes, liver and gallbladder inflammation, and eczema.

 

Ingredients:

Andrographis paniculata, distilled water, and certified organic cane alcohol.

Recommended Dose: 

1-3 ml / 2x / day in 2 oz water.
