Description

Astragalus, (A. membranaceus), also known as huang qi in Traditional Chinese Medicine, is the root of the milk vetch plant.   It has been used for centuries to support a lackluster immune system, improve energy levels, and strengthen kidney, digestive and respiratory function.

Astragalus is a top herb to prevent and aid with the treatment of common colds, viral infections, and the flu.  It is an ideal tonic for those dealing with chronic infections because it is also detoxifying.  Its healing properties are easily absorbed and do not create an added burden in the system as some tonics do.

Astragalus is a favorite herbal ally for cancer treatment, helping to protect the healthy cells, and aiding recovery from chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.

Astragalus also benefits the kidneys and improves kidney function.
